DEFINITION OF POVERTY

Man's view: Lack of money and possessions.

Man's philosophy, "He who dies with the most toys wins" is flawed thinking, lacking in eternal perspective.

                 (Matthew 6:20, Ecclesiastes 1: 14, 2: 12-23, 5: 10)

God's view:  Spiritual in nature first and foremost!

We are all poor from birth due to our sin nature. (Psalm 51: 5,  Romans 5:12)

We all need a Savior (Romans 3: 23, John 8: 24).  Someone to purchase us out of our state of depravity.

God's grace is the only redemption available.

If we accept Christ as our savior, we will have received the richest blessing known to mankind.  God's grace to

forgive our sins and spending eternity with God in heaven.  (Ephesians 1: 7, 18)

                  Only God's Word and men's soul's will last for eternity.  (Isaiah 40: 8, Luke 21: 33, John 6: 27)

Don't invest your life for that which is destined for destruction. (Luke 21: 33, Matthew 6: 20)

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. (Philippians 3: 8, 1: 21)

Remember that with God there is no partiality! (Romans 2: 11, Galatians 3: 28)

-- There is neither Jew nor Greek.

-- There is neither slave nor free man.

-- There is neither male nor female.

-- If we are Christians, we are all one in Christ Jesus.  Is there a difference in God's eyes between the rich and poor?

                  -- What about your eyes?

Do the right thing, for the right reason, in the right way!!
